Golf Fitness Area

The most recent addition to AT Golf Coaching’s facilities was in 2018 where we have added a ‘Golf Fitness studio’. Fitness in golf is becoming increasingly more popular and more recognised as important, this was the reason for this latest addition. What a lot of golf coaches find at times, is a golfer may really struggle to achieve a specific position or movement in the golf swing in which a golf coach is trying to get them to achieve. This is very likely to not be down to lack of ability or talent, it is far more likely to be the consequence of a limited range of movement or restriction in the body.

This is where our ‘Golf Fitness Studio’ comes in. Joe Stevens is a certified TPI Golf Instructor and our ‘Golf fitness specialist’. Joe can work with you to find out and identify if your body is limiting you from achieving a certain desired position or movement in your golf swing, and therefore limiting you from playing your best golf. This process will always start with a screening of your body to analysis areas of strength and weakness and from here Joe can talk to you about the best way of putting a plan in place to improve problem areas.

The whole idea of this studio was to make ‘Golf Fitness’ accessible and achievable for everyone as this area of the game is so important. Therefore when you are in the studio you will notice there is not a lot of fancy expensive equipment, we can conduct screenings and create you a very relevant exercise plan to work on to help improve your golf in the comfort of your own home at very little if any further cost, this is what makes this so easy to achieve and very appealing for many golfers.

30 minute TPI Body Screening

£30 per individual lesson

A TPI screening session is key to helping you improve your golf performance through fitness. A screening is made up of 15 very simple exercises and tests that will allow us to monitor, access and identify where your body currently has limitations that could affect your golf swing. It is all very well working on specific movements with a coach but if you are not physically capable of achieving these positions it can be a waste of your time and money. A TPI screening can identify this and help us put a plan in place to make these positions much more achievable.

30 Minute Mobility Session – £30

This session is ideal for all standards of golfer, from elite level amateurs and professionals, to club golfers and senior golfers. This session will help you improve your flexibility and mobility in specific areas in order to help improve your golf. You cannot be too flexible to play golf and this session will help all golfers swing better and feel better.

2 Hour TPI Golf Experience x £100

If you’re serious about improving your golf this is the session for you. This session is ideal for all standards of golfer. During this session we will tailor a plan specifically to you based on your body’s strengths, weaknesses and limitations. We will show how these limitations affect your golf swing and teach you how to conduct the exercises you will find in your fitness plan. Giving you the knowledge and plan to improve your strength, flexibility and therefore golf swing.
